Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver (Evenings) to provide exceptional support and assistance to residents in a home and community care setting. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being for individuals with diverse needs. As a Caregiver (Evenings), you will play an essential part in creating a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for residents during evening hours. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will help ensure each individual receives the highest quality of care in a supportive atmosphere. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and independence. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to support health management. Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols, ensuring safety at all times. Provide companionship and social engagement to enhance residents' emotional well-being through conversation, activities, and recreational outings. Support residents with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts, ensuring safety during movement. Maintain a clean and organized environment by assisting with light cleaning duties and laundry tasks. Document care activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding residents' conditions. Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and behavior management techniques. Certification or training in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or Hoyer lift training are advantageous. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is desirable. Ability to work evening shifts reliably while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members. Valid driver's license may be required for transportation duties or community outings.
