Caregiver for Assisted Living Home

Job Overview:

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to clients in accordance with their individual care plans
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel
• Assist with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper lifting techniques when necessary
• Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
• Follow established protocols and procedures for client care
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses or social workers, to ensure comprehensive care

Skills:

• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred
• Knowledge of caregiving systems and techniques
• Familiarity with activities of daily living (ADLs) and direct support methods
• Understanding of memory care principles and techniques
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Ability to lift and assist with transfers as needed
• Basic knowledge of vital signs monitoring
