Caregiver for Elderly

Community Home Health Care is looking for Caregivers (PCA/HHA) to care for our clients in a professional and compassionate manner. The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with good communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients.

Paid Training Opportunities:

Paid PCA Certificate Training

• (5-6 business days): no experience required. Paid ACD Test-Out Option
• (1-2 days): to qualify candidates must have at least three months of caregiving experience within the past three years.
• To be eligible for paid training, trainees must reside in Montgomery County and be able to travel to our Amsterdam office for classes.

Responsibilities Remind clients to take prescribed medication Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks, etc.) Assist clients with personal care and hygiene Help clients with physical therapy exercises Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able) Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own Be a pleasant and supportive companion Report any unusual incidents Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency Skills Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards Respectful and compassionate Good time management skills Communication and interpersonal skills Strong ethics Physical endurance Why our Caregivers like us:

Must be at least 18 or older Authorized to work in the U.S. No experience necessary, just compassion!
