Role Overview:
As a Caregiver / HHA at FirstLight Home Care, you will be responsible for providing compassionate personal care and support to our clients in their homes. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our care team to ensure that our clients receive the assistance needed to maintain their dignity and independence. Whether you work part-time or full-time, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of those you serve every day.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Give emotional support and companionship to clients to enhance their quality of life. Help with medication reminders and light housekeeping as needed. Assist clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective delivery of care services. Take ownership of client relationships and provide a high level of care and support.
Qualifications:
You're a great fit if you have the following skills. Previous experience as a caregiver, Home Health Aide (HHA), or in a similar role. Certification as a Home Health Aide is preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with clients and families. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality care. Compassionate attitude and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
Bonus If You:
Have experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities. Hold additional certifications in caregiving or related fields. Are bilingual, particularly in languages that may assist in serving our clients.
Employment Type & Availability:
This position is available both part-time and full-time with flexible scheduling that includes weekends and weekdays.
Location:
This position is on-site only in Porter County, Indiana.
