Caregiver Personal Care Assistant

Duties Tending to clients' social and emotional needs by joining them in activities and providing companionship Supporting mobility (helping with walking, transfers or using mobility aids) Taking clients to their medical appointments or personal errands Managing medications to ensure clients take doses as prescribed Preparing meals, doing laundry and performing light housework Assisting with daily living tasks, such as dressing, toileting, bathing, grooming and eating Identifying and addressing safety issues in the home or facility Keeping accurate records of care provided Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment adhering to health and safety standards at all times Requirements Basic understanding of common mental or physical health conditions, including dementia or diabetes Familiarity with the use of mobility aids, such as wheelchairs and walkers, and common household appliances, such as stoves, ovens, dishwashers, washing machines and dryers Basic medical knowledge (e.g., first aid, CPR) Knowledge of best practices for responding to medical emergencies and delivering client care Strong communication and interpersonal skills Computer skills to use recordkeeping, email and other relevant software Ability to assist clients with walking, transferring, bathing and completing other daily tasks Attention to detail for monitoring health changes Organizational skills to maintain accurate records for multiple clients and manage medications Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with patience, compassion, and professionalism Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with families and team members Embark on a rewarding career where your caregiving skills help shape bright futures!
