Caregiver - Memory Care & Dementia (RCFE) Villa Monticello | Escondido, CA Starting at $18.00/hour + Performance & Experience-Based Growth At Villa Monticello, caregiving is more than completing tasks—it's about creating comfort, dignity, safety, and meaningful moments for every resident. We are a 29-bed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) specializing in memory care and dementia support , and we are seeking exceptional caregivers for our full-time PM and NOC shifts . We are looking for professionals who are compassionate, dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing the daily needs of multiple residents with confidence and care. AM Compensation:
Starting at $18.00/hour with opportunities for pay increases based on performance, reliability, leadership, experience, and contribution to the team. What You'll Be Responsible ForResident Care & Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Provide attentive and compassionate care for residents throughout the shift Assist residents with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including: Bathing Dressing Grooming Toileting Feeding assistance Mobility support Personal hygiene Perform incontinence care , including changing diapers and pull-ups promptly and respectfully Assist with repositioning bedridden residents safely and consistently Transfer residents safely between: Bed Wheelchair Walker Recliner Dining and activity areas Observe and report changes in resident condition Memory Care & Dementia Support Redirect residents calmly and effectively while maintaining dignity Support residents experiencing confusion, anxiety, or memory-related behaviors Maintain patience, professionalism, and emotional awareness during challenging situations Help create a structured, calm, and positive living environment Housekeeping & Environmental Standards Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organization throughout the community Ensure all common areas and resident bedrooms are cleaned thoroughly and consistently Pay close attention to detail and uphold high housekeeping standards Assist with laundry and maintaining a safe, comfortable environment Resident Hospitality & Support Prepare and serve snacks and simple meals upon resident request Support resident comfort and encourage a welcoming, home-like atmosphere Teamwork & Professionalism Complete documentation accurately and on time Communicate effectively with coworkers and leadership Arrive on time and maintain dependable attendance Support teammates to ensure all residents receive excellent care Required Qualifications Prior caregiving experience in RCFE, assisted living, memory care, dementia care, or senior living Current First Aid & CPR Certification (Required) Ability to pass a criminal background check (Required) Experience caring for residents with dementia and memory-related conditions Ability to safely assist with transfers and physical caregiving duties Reliable transportation and strong attendance Ideal Candidate You are someone who: Has a strong work ethic and takes initiative Notices details and takes pride in maintaining a clean environment Can care for multiple residents without sacrificing quality Remains calm under pressure Leads with compassion and respect Understands that caregiving includes both clinical support and creating a true home environment Why Join Villa Monticello?
