Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Caregiver to provide dedicated weekend support to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities and personal care. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, patience, and a strong commitment to quality care, working closely with clients, families, and healthcare teams to deliver personalized support during weekend shifts. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health status by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition Administer medication following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's care, utilizing specialized techniques for memory care and behavioral management Use equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's ; for safe transfers and mobility assistance Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA standards and facility policies Collaborate with healthcare professionals on patient monitoring, care plans, and progress updates Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive atmosphere during weekend hours Skills Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, or nursing home environments Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs measurement, and medication administration Familiarity with Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and developmental disabilities Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality Excellent communication skills for working with residents, families, and healthcare teams Certified in CPR and First Aid; additional certifications in hospice or long-term care are advantageous Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in social work settings is preferred Join us in providing compassionate weekend care that truly makes a difference!
