Carton Sorter

Ukiah Waste Solutions , a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety conscious Carton Sorter to join our team in Ukiah, CA! The schedule will be Monday-Friday 4:00AM, working 8 to 10 hour shifts. Starting pay will be $21.00 per hour. The pay range for this job category is $20-$21 per hour. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sorting and pulling cartons through material on the sorting line Cleaning equipment. Maintaining cleanliness of the area. Heavy lifting throughout shift. Traffic management. Operating machinery and equipment. Working outside in all weather conditions. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT

Work involves constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises. Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time and in different weather and environmental conditions. Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules that are set forth; promotes the Company's safety standards; work with a sense of honesty, integrity and trustworthiness. Ability to adhere to work schedule and follow through on challenges as they arise Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
