Responsibilities Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process transactions, returns, and exchanges. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries. Conduct product demos when needed to highlight features and benefits of items to customers. Upsell related products or accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including stocking shelves and merchandising displays. Handle cash, credit card payments, and other payment methods with precision and attention to detail. Follow phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone. Support store operations by assisting with inventory management, stocking shelves, and participating in regular merchandising efforts. Requirements Previous cashiering experience in a retail environment or grocery store is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations. Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs better. Experience supervising or mentoring team members is advantageous but not required.
