Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with their checkout needs using POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently and accurately Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed Upsell products and promote store specials or product demos to enhance the customer experience and increase sales Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, restock merchandise as needed, and support merchandising efforts Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and demonstrating product features when appropriate Assist with stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store remains inviting and well-maintained Use effective phone etiquette when communicating with customers or team members over the phone Skills Proven experience with POS systems and cashiering duties in a retail or grocery store environment Supervising experience or leadership skills to guide new team members or assist during busy periods Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations Strong communication skills to interact confidently with diverse customers and team members Bilingual capabilities are a plus to serve a broader customer base effectively Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product demos to promote sales opportunities through upselling techniques Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette to handle inquiries smoothly Familiarity with grocery store operations, retail sales strategies, and maintaining an organized checkout area Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding shopping experiences!
