This dynamic role combines cashier duties with food preparation and service, offering an exciting opportunity to engage with festival attendees while showcasing your culinary skills and customer service expertise. You'll be responsible for efficiently handling transactions, preparing and serving delicious festival fare, and ensuring a memorable experience for all visitors. This paid position is perfect for energetic individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and enjoy creating joyful moments through excellent service. Responsibilities Operate POS systems Prepare, serve, and handle a variety of festival foods with attention to food safety and sanitation standards Manage cash handling duties, including giving change and balancing registers at shift end Provide outstanding customer service by assisting guests with menu selections, upselling items, and answering questions about food offerings Maintain cleanliness of workstations, counters, and dining areas through bussing and sanitation practices Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to meet health regulations and safety standards Support food preparation tasks in the kitchen or café area as needed, including basic cooking or assembly of menu items Experience Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is highly preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Square is advantageous Culinary experience or background working in a café, grocery store, or food industry setting will help you excel in this role Strong time management skills to handle busy festival hours efficiently Ability to perform basic math calculations for cash handling and sales transactions accurately Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for engaging with diverse guests This role offers an energetic environment where your skills in food preparation, sales, and customer interaction will shine.
