Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Cashier/Customer Service associate, where you'll be the friendly face that greets customers and ensures their shopping experience is smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. In this energetic role, you'll handle transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, assist customers with product inquiries, and promote our latest offerings through upselling and product demos. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will help foster a welcoming environment, whether you're managing cash handling or providing exceptional service at the grocery store checkout. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enabling you to connect with a diverse customer base and enhance overall satisfaction. Duties Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with accuracy and speed Provide outstanding customer service by answering questions, assisting with product selection, and resolving issues promptly Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Handle cash handling responsibilities diligently, including balancing registers at shift end and managing cash transactions with integrity Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or assisting customers remotely Support the store's sales goals through proactive communication, suggestive selling, and promoting ongoing promotions or loyalty programs Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in retail or grocery store environments preferred; familiarity with POS systems essential Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently in person and over the phone Proven ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Supervising experience is a plus, especially in training new team members or overseeing daily operations Bilingual proficiency enhances customer interactions and broadens service reach Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail sales strategies beneficial for success in this role
