Cashier/Customer Service

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, responsible for providing exceptional service while accurately processing transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively and engage with customers will play a key role in enhancing their shopping experience. Responsibilities Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately, handling cash and electronic payments. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their inquiries. Maintain an organized and well-stocked checkout area, ensuring that products are readily available for customers. Utilize retail math skills to process transactions and manage cash handling effectively. Communicate product knowledge to customers, helping them make informed purchasing decisions. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction. Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining store cleanliness to create an inviting shopping environment. Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and deliver a seamless customer experience. Requirements Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred but not mandatory. Proficiency in cash handling and operating a cash register is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and retail math applications. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic setting. Experience in retail sales, including upselling techniques, is a plus.
