• Job Summary:

• We are seeking a skilled Cashier/Sales professional to join our dynamic team at [Company Name]. As a Cashier/Sales associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and supporting the sales process within a fast-paced grocery store environment.

• Duties:

• Greet customers, answer questions, and provide product recommendations to drive sales.
• Operate a cash register, manage cash, credit card transactions, and maintain a balanced drawer.
• Process returns, exchanges, and refunds in a timely and accurate manner.
• Keep the sales floor clean, tidy, and organized, including restocking shelves and facing products.
• Utilize retail math skills to calculate prices, make change, and balance the cash register.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services offered by the store.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless customer service and store operations.
• Participate in visual merchandising and stocking to enhance the customer shopping experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Experience:

• Previous experience as a cashier or sales associate in a retail environment, preferably in a grocery store.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic math skills and proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems.

• Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in retail math and cash handling procedures.
• Experience with cash registers and POS systems.
• Excellent sales skills and the ability to drive sales growth.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations and inventory management.
• Ability to supervise and assist fellow team members as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
