Cashier/Sales Associate for liquor retail

Overview We are seeking a friendly and motivated Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while processing transactions efficiently. Your ability to engage with customers and assist them in their shopping experience will be key to our store's success. Duties Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns. Assist customers with product selections and provide information on promotions or sales. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to enhance the customer experience. Stock shelves and ensure that products are displayed properly. Utilize basic math skills to process transactions and provide change accurately. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products or services. Follow phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries over the phone. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations. Skills Proficient in operating cash registers and handling cash transactions. Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers. Previous experience in sales or retail sales is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Knowledge of grocery store operations is beneficial but not required. Ability to stock merchandise effectively and maintain inventory levels.
