Cashier/Stocker

Friends' Marketplace Plumb Corner is a locally owned, community-focused food store in Rochester. We take pride in creating a store that is clean, well-stocked, and welcoming — where customers feel taken care of and the team works together. We're looking for a Cashier & Grocery Team Member who enjoys working with people, stays active, and takes pride in keeping the store looking its best. Responsibilities Operate the register and accurately check out customers Provide friendly, helpful, and attentive customer service Stock shelves across grocery, dairy, frozen, and beer/wine Keep shelves full, organized, and clean at all times Receive and help unload deliveries Rotate product to ensure freshness and eliminate out-of-code items Check invoices for accuracy Maintain a clean and organized store environment Physical Requirements This is an active, on-your-feet role throughout the shift Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, and reaching required Ability to lift and handle boxes up to 30-50 lbs Qualifications Previous customer service experience required Experience in a grocery store, food retail, or similar environment strongly preferred Comfortable handling cash and working with a register Strong attention to detail and reliability Able to work both independently and as part of a team Positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience 401(k) with company match Paid time off (PTO) 30% employee discount (one of the most generous in the area) Supportive, team-oriented work environment This role is best suited for someone who enjoys staying active, works hard, and takes pride in keeping the store clean, full, and welcoming.
