Job Description

Job Title:
Maintenance Technician - Catalina Island, CA (Remote/Interior)
Employment Type:
Full-Time, Year-Round We are seeking a dedicated, resourceful Maintenance Technician to join our island team. Located in the beautiful, rugged coast of Catalina Island, our campsite serves hundreds of guests and requires a technician who can work independently to keep our facilities safe and functional.

This is more than a job; it's a lifestyle. Have boating skills is a plus. Having vehicle mechanical skills is also a plus. You will live and work on-site, surrounded by the unique wildlife and stunning coastal views of the island
Carpentry & Framing:
Perform structural repairs and new construction projects, including framing, drywall, roofing, and deck repairs.
Electrical:
Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical systems, including replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures, and ballasts.
Plumbing:
Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including unstopping toilets/drains, fixing leaks, repairing faucets, and basic septic system maintenance.
Facility Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections of cabins, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure everything is in top condition for guests.
Infrastructure:
Assist in maintaining island-specific infrastructure such as trails, irrigation systems, and small equipment.
Must-Have Qualifications Experience:
3+ years of professional experience in maintenance or skilled trades (framing, plumbing, and electrical).
Problem-Solving:
The ability to troubleshoot issues with limited supervision in a remote environment.
Physical Fitness:
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and rugged terrain.
License:
A valid California Driver's License with a clean record.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
