We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic , in El Cajon, California. The ideal mechanic should have at least 2-4 years of prior similar experience, in providing maintenance and completing repairs on large mining equipment. Competitive wages Job advancement opportunities Matching 401k plans Medical, Dental and Vision plans Vacation, holiday and sick pay Weekly pay Responsibilities Maintain and repair Heavy Equipment such as Loaders , Dozers , Scrapers , Excavators , Skid Steers , etc. Perform preventative maintenance Repair lighting, brake & hydraulic systems Run diagnostic test on equipment and troubleshoot R&R faulty parts and major components Able to perform with others on large jobs or projects Weld cutting edges, teeth or loader buckets as needed Must be able to work with management on maintenance of equipment Report or make necessary adjustment for maintenance improvement Qualifications 2-4 years of similar experience Must be able to repair several types of Mining Equipment Familiar with mine, construction, aggregate safety protocols CAT Dealer experience is a plus but not required Basic Knowledge of MSHA regulations Ability to work full time and overtime hours High School diploma required Must successfully pass a background and drug screen Class B license is a plus!!
