Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - Cath Lab Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career in a dynamic cath lab environment, focusing on both routine and complex patient care with an emphasis on electrophysiology (EP) procedures. This full-time contract role calls for a Registered Nurse with significant recent experience in EP, utilizing a four-day workweek (10-hour shifts). You'll work autonomously while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of care for patients undergoing cardiac interventions.
Schedule:
4 days/week 10-hour shifts
Requirements & Desired Qualifications:
At least 2 years of recent electrophysiology (EP) experience in a comparable clinical setting Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or compact states Active BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA (American Heart Association) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Completion of New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire (required for all new hires) Successful completion of both organizational and department-specific competency assessments One year of critical care experience preferred, though new graduates are welcome
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) for assigned patients Address complex psychological, emotional, and cultural patient needs Administer medications and treatments following established protocols Continuously monitor and document patient responses and care Educate and counsel patients, families, and caregivers on ongoing care needs and resources Delegate and coordinate tasks as needed to support optimal patient outcomes This position encourages continuous professional development and a proactive approach to navigating clinical challenges within a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
