4 x 10-hour shifts | 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Variable Days) Job Description We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Cath Lab Technician / Special Procedures Tech to join a dynamic cardiovascular team in Cypress, TX . This position is responsible for assisting physicians in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab as part of a collaborative team performing both diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures . The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of Cardiac Cath Lab procedures and capable of working independently with little to no supervision. The selected candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care while supporting physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures and ensuring patient safety throughout all phases of treatment. Key Responsibilities Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. Prepare and maintain Cath Lab equipment and procedure rooms. Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures. Operate specialized cardiovascular imaging and monitoring equipment. Ensure proper sterile techniques and patient safety protocols are followed. Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of Cardiac Cath Lab procedures. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Respond appropriately during emergency situations and maintain high standards of care. Participate in on-call coverage as required.

Minimum Qualifications Education:

Candidates must meet one of the following requirements: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology , OR Graduate of an accredited Health Sciences or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology Program , OR Individuals credentialed as RCIS through CCI since 2013 or earlier may qualify without formal education requirements.

Required Certifications/Licensure Candidates must possess:

Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) One of the following combinations:

ARRT-CV + MRT , OR RCIS

Accepted credentials include: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist ( RCIS ) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registered Radiology Technologist ( ARRT-R ) / MRT Registered Radiological Technologist in Cardiovascular-Interventional Technology ( ARRT-CV ) Required Experience/Skills Strong knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic Cath Lab procedures Ability to work with minimal supervision Strong critical thinking and communication skills Experience operating cardiovascular and imaging equipment preferred Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment On-Call Requirements 10-12 on-call days within a five-week period Required to provide 24-hour department coverage Must maintain a 30-minute response time when on-call This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Cath Lab professional seeking career growth while working with a high-performing cardiovascular team.
