Duties Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, to deliver freight to various locations. Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring proper handling of refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized trailers. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement. Follow designated routes driving efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Manage documentation for deliveries, including delivery manifests, route logs, and incident reports. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Maintain a clean driving record and uphold company safety standards at all times. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience driving commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers or delivery trucks with manual transmissions. Familiarity with various trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when necessary. Strong knowledge of route driving best practices and safety procedures for freight transportation. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform vehicle inspections regularly. $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
