CDL A Driver

OKIE Rents in Duncan, OK (Formerly Great Plains Rents)- We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Driver to join our OKIE Equipment Rental team. As a CDL Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting a variety of brand name rental equipment like backhoes, skid-steers, small tractors and small dozers, excavators and mini-ex's, trenchers, man-lifts, forklifts, etc. You wi8ll deliver to our customers and you will pick-up equipment from customers. We have five rental yards company wide, so our drivers also transfer equipment between locations. We have an immediate opening for an experienced and dedicated candidate who is looking for a family work-place where each employee is key to our success and where no employee is just another number. If you are an experienced CDL Driver looking for a new opportunity, we encourage you to apply. This position is a Monday thru Friday, and we work 7AM till 5PM, so there is occasional overtime. We are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. We will hire a dependable, trustworthy, and proficient driver who also enjoys providing excellent customer satisfaction. If you enjoy people and day-driving, and then being home before dinner gets cold--this position may be the career that you are looking for. When our Drivers are not driving, they feel a part of the team and help out where needed at the rental store-which may mean working on the customer counter, greasing or washing equipment, or rearranging the yard. The successful candidate will observe all DOT requirements, including the knowledge of pre-trip and post-trip vehicle walk-around inspections and daily basic maintenance checks. The driver must be comfortable driving in all types of weather, and must be capable of climbing in and out of a truck multiple times daily and S/He must be capable of chaining and and tying-down. Our Driver's fleet includes 18-wheel Kenworth Semis with manual transmissions that pull Flatbed trailers, Roll-offs and various other delivery trucks and trailers with GVWR less than CDL A weights.
