CDL A Dry Van Truck Driver

Duties Safely operate a tractor-trailer with a manual transmission, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Drive assigned routes, ensuring timely pick-up and delivery of freight to customer locations. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, including forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement. Manage documentation such as delivery manifests, logs, and inspection reports accurately and promptly. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise on route. Maintain professionalism during route driving, handling freight securely whether hauling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dry vans. Experience Proven experience operating commercial vehicles with a CDL A license, preferably with dry van trailers. Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and various trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Prior delivery driver experience involving load & unload procedures and route driving is highly desirable. Knowledge of safety protocols related to freight handling and vehicle operation in different environments. Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when required for loading or unloading freight. Strong understanding of trucking regulations and compliance standards for commercial drivers.
