In this role, you will operate flatbed trucks equipped for hauling diverse cargo, including freight that requires secure load & unload procedures. Your expertise in driving tractor-trailers, handling specialized equipment like manual transmissions, and managing refrigerated trailers or tanker configurations will ensure timely and safe deliveries. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across extensive routes, ensuring compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations Load, secure, and unload freight on flatbed trailers. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries while adapting to changing schedules or road conditions Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in compliance with Hours of Service regulations Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and recent experience operating tractor-trailers in an over-the-road (OTR) setting Proven experience with flatbed trailer operations, including securing freight using straps, chains, or tarps Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operations or tanker trucks is a plus Ability to drive manual transmission trucks confidently and safely over long distances Delivery driver experience involving load & unload responsibilities at multiple stops along routes.
