CDL A Tractor Trailer Driver

Overview We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused CDL A Tractor-Trailer Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate has commercial driving experience with a dump trailer and lowboy, familiarity with heavy equipment, and a strong commitment to safe, timely deliveries to job sites. Key Responsibilities Operate tractor trailers and load/unload trailers; Experience with operating excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and graders a plus. Secure heavy equipment and materials to trailers using appropriate chains, binders, and tie-downs. Transport construction materials (gravel, sand, asphalt, soil, etc.) to and from project sites safely and on schedule. Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, loads, and material quantities. Coordinate with site supervisors and crew members to ensure efficient unloading and timely project progress. Comply with all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies on public roads and at construction sites. Qualifications Valid CDL A with a clean driving record. Proven experience operating tractor-trailers in construction or heavy-haul environments. Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with heavy equipment operation preferred. Knowledge of construction site safety practices and ability to follow direction from site supervisors. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
