In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and delivering freight across designated routes. Your expertise in driving various types of trucks, including those with manual transmissions, will ensure timely and secure deliveries. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary Deliver goods efficiently along assigned routes, maintaining punctuality and professionalism at all times Handle various types of cargo including refrigerated trailers, flatbed loads, tankers, and freight requiring special handling Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and route records in accordance with federal regulations Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL Class A license Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures including load & unload operations Ability to operate auxiliary equipment like forklifts safely when required Excellent route driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency Knowledge of regulations governing commercial driving and transportation safety standards Physical ability to handle the demands of long hours on the road and occasional heavy lifting Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to delivering excellence!
