CDL Class A Driver

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our Tree Service Company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting wood chips, logs , and salt safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to handle freight with care. Duties Operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, log trucks/ trailer, low boys, and chip trucks. Loading and unloading using appropriate equipment such as Loaders. Ensure the safe transport of goods while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and cargo. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays on the road. Utilize manual transmission skills when required for specific vehicle types. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Previous experience in freight transportation or logistics is a plus.
