(Department of Transportation) regulations DOT Physical Certification Climbing Full Job Description We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Driver to transport municipal waste and/or recyclable materials between transfer stations and disposal facilities. This position requires compliance with all DOT regulations, safe vehicle operation, proper load securement, and professional customer interaction. Drivers are home daily and work in varying weather conditions.

HOME EVERYNIGHT

Essential Responsibilities Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned commercial vehicle. Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with company policies and all local, state, and federal laws. Transport municipal waste or recyclable materials from transfer stations to disposal facilities and properly dispose of loads. Secure loads properly, including strapping and tarping as required. Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with customers and the public encountered on route. Complete all required paperwork, logs, and reports accurately and on time. Report vehicle defects, safety concerns, or incidents promptly. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, and perform repetitive movements. Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs . Position requires working both in and out of the truck. Employees are exposed to outdoor weather conditions daily, including heat, sun, rain, snow, wind, and other environmental elements. Ability to handle tarps, straps, and other load securement equipment. Minimum Qualifications Valid Class A or Class B CDL . Current DOT physical . Minimum of 2 years of verifiable CDL driving experience . Ability to successfully complete drug and alcohol screening . Ability to successfully pass a road test . Strong safety record and dependable attendance. No DUI, OWI, reckless driving, or other major moving violations within the past 3 years . Fewer than 3 moving violations within the previous 24 months . Fewer than 3 accidents within the past 5 years , regardless of fault.
