If you're someone who prefers working outside over sitting behind a desk—and you take pride in operating equipment, getting the job done right, and supporting local agriculture—this role is built for you. Valley Farmers Supply is looking for a reliable, hands-on Agronomy Applicator / CDL Truck Driver to join our Worden team. This is a year-round position offering a mix of equipment operation, agronomy work, and seasonal driving—giving you variety, stability, and the chance to build valuable skills. About the Role In this position, you'll play a key role in supporting our agronomy operations and customers. Your work will directly impact local farmers and ranchers, helping them succeed through timely application and dependable service. This position reports to the Worden Operations Manager, with additional support from the Agronomy Director. What You'll Do Transport product from our facilities to our customers' fields. Operate and maintain agronomy application equipment safely and efficiently Apply crop nutrients and crop protection products according to company and regulatory standards Assist with fertilizer plant operations and general facility maintenance Support fuel and propane deliveries during the agronomy off-season Perform routine equipment and vehicle maintenance Maintain accurate application records and field observations Work closely with team members to ensure efficient operations and strong customer service Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who takes initiative, works well independently, and isn't afraid to jump in where needed. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and has a strong work ethic.
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills Dependable with a proven track record of reliability
Preferred:
Crop nutrient or chemical application experience Fertilizer plant operations experience Experience operating forklifts and skid steers Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance Schedule Full-time, hourly union position Monday-Friday, with weekends as needed Overtime required during peak seasons Pay & Benefits Competitive hourly wage: $23.00
