By joining our team, you too can lead the evolution of transportation. Qualifications RS&H is seeking a CDL Training Instructor to join our team in the Moving I-4 Forward , . Training sessions will occur throughout the state of Florida. The CDL Training Instructor role is responsible for delivering hands-on and classroom instruction in commercial driving and construction trades, preparing trainees for successful careers in the infrastructure industry. This role will lead the training, as well as develop and deliver competency-based curriculum aligned with OSHA, industry, and workforce development standards.Responsibilities:
Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction in CDL Class A driving. Teach general transportation construction practices, heavy equipment operation, and jobsite safety protocols. Develop and implement curriculum aligned with OSHA, industry standards, and workforce development goals. Monitor trainee progress, track certification hours, and provide individualized coaching and mentorship. Prepare trainees for CDL exams through instruction in vehicle systems, mechanics, and pre-trip inspections. Support job placement efforts through coordination with program staff and industry partners.Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation, highway construction, or related field. Valid CDL Class A License with a clean driving record. Experience delivering training or mentoring in a workforce development or technical education setting. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards. Ability to operate and instruct on heavy equipment and CDL vehicles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
