SETC - Southside Education and Training Center Requisition #: req13807 Outside working hours if other than M-F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Monday - Thursday, 6pm-9pm Job Summary and Description Position responsible for teaching Continuing Education classes. Continuing Education Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity contingent upon the needs of the department. Classes are offered during daytime, evenings, and weekends as well as some College holidays. Classes are offered at various times and locations during the academic year.
Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Medical Assisting, Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, or related field, or a combination of education, training, and experience that equates to the required degree. Three (3) years of work-related experience in a medical office, healthcare administration, or related healthcare field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related healthcare or training discipline. Experience teaching adult learners in an online environment. Strong working knowledge of medical front office procedures, patient scheduling, insurance verification, electronic health records, and customer service in healthcare settings. Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Experience using Zoom and Canvas.
LMS Certification:
Active CMAA Certification through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
