Description:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
•As Center Floater you will need to be able to work with all children•infants through Pre-K Supervise group of students in a variety of settings (e.g. snack time, group or individual activities, playground activities, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment Ensure the safety of children through constant supervision, effective management of space, proper maintenance of equipment, and regular practice of fire drills and other emergency procedures Establish and enforce rules for behavior, and policies and procedures to maintain order among students Create an open, friendly, and cooperative atmosphere in which children and families feel comfortable and secure Design an environment that responds to the children's individual developmental levels and interests Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development and physical health daily, with formal documentation occurring 2 times per year Prepare and implement lesson plans to reflect the approved ACP curriculum Instruct students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students' varying needs and interests. Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers and management to resolve students' behavioral and academic concerns Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development such as games, arts and crafts, music, sing-a-longs, and storytelling Prepare materials, classrooms, and other indoor and outdoor spaces to facilitate an effective learning environment Provide a variety of language stimulation activities Ensure that parents receive adequate information about their child's experiences at the center through daily contacts, reports, and photographs Provide daily care to each individual child, including but not limited to diapering every 2 hours and feeding on demand Assist with transitioning onto the next classroom Complete appropriate paperwork in a neat and organized manner (i.e. daily reports, incident reports, attendance sheets, medication logs, etc) Attend monthly staff meetings and all required trainings for the purpose of receiving and conveying information related to program Clean and maintain the classroom/playground environment Interact with and engage the children in a positive manner Provide constant, supportive and professional communication with coworkers, parents, and children Have the ability to conform to an established and consistent work schedule Follow all DHS and Keystone Stars requirements Adhere to all policies found in the ACP Employee Handbook Provide First Aid/CPR in the event of an Emergency, if certified All other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
GROUP SUPERVISOR QUALIFICATIONS
Must obtain a High School diploma Must obtain one of more of the following: BA in ECE, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education or Human Services BA with a minimum of 30 credit hours in one of the mentioned fields AND 1 year of documented experience with children AA in one of the above-mentioned fields AND 2 years of documented experience working with children AA with a minimum of 30 credit hours in one of the above-mentioned fields AND 3 years of documented experience working with children Minimum one year child development work experience in a school/childcare setting Ability to successfully pass and maintain all background/clearance checks Maintain an employee file in accordance with DHS and ACP regulations
ASSISTANT GROUP SUPERVISOR QUALIFICATIONS
Must obtain a High School diploma Must obtain one of more of the following: 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university in ECE, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education or Human Service Minimum two years of documented experience working with children Ability to successfully pass and maintain all background/clearance checks
