Job Description

The Central Issue Facility (CIF) Supervisor oversees daily warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, issue, turn-in, accountability, and distribution of Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE). This role supervises supply clerks & technicians, warehouse personnel, enforces compliance with Army regulations and safety standards, and ensures accurate inventory management and property accountability. The supervisor provides technical guidance, coordinates cross-functional logistics support, and maintains operational readiness through effective warehouse management and customer service. Responsibilities Supervise warehouse personnel in loading, unloading, segregation, dunnage, palletizing, and the selection of stock and storage areas. Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping supplies and equipment. Ensure timely issue, turn-in, accountability, and proper handling of Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE). Conduct and monitor inventories, location surveys, and property accountability procedures in accordance with established regulations and policies. Perform property disposal and retrograde operations, including special handling, storage, packaging, and shipping requirements. Retrieve, review, and analyze historical and activity records related to system-rejected documents and inventory discrepancies. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to subordinate personnel on supply procedures, customer service standards, environmental health and safety practices, and Army regulations. Coordinate with cross-functional departments, maintenance teams, and unit representatives to resolve equipment shortages, damaged property, and customer concerns in a timely and professional manner. Utilize logistics and supply management systems and other automated supply systems, to process transactions, track inventory, and maintain accurate records. Maintain warehouse safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and organizational safety requirements. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to improve operational efficiency and implement effective logistics strategies. Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining high levels of accuracy and accountability. Prepare reports, work instructions, operational plans, and presentations as required. Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions and shipping software, including Process Pro, to support warehouse and logistics operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply operations. Comprehensive knowledge of logistics management regulations, policies, procedures, and supply operations. Proficient in STAMIS systems, including GCSS-Army, with working knowledge of supply services and maintenance automated supply systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to conduct meetings, prepare reports, and execute operational plans. Effective analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to lift to 50 pounds. Working knowledge of OSHA standards and warehouse safety procedures. Preferred Qualifications 20 years of experience in Department of Defense (DoD) Supply Support Activities, maintenance, or transportation operations. 10 or more years of experience supporting Brigade-level operations or higher. GCSS-Army certification, specifically related to Property Book transactions for Class VII items.
