Job Description

Purpose Statement To ensure the smooth and efficient flow of the District's Central Office. Essential Functions
  • Greets all visitors courteously, determines their needs, checks appointments, and directs or escorts them to the appropriate person.
  • Takes primary responsibility for all incoming calls to Central Office and directs calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Completes all clerical responsibilities as directed by the Superintendent(s) and Director of Finance.
  • Assists the Superintendent in producing patron newsletters.
  • Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of certified teachers and other school employees.
Other Functions Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities SKILLS are required to perform multiple, non-technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment, including utilizing pertinent software applications; planning and managing projects; and preparing and maintaining accurate records.
KNOWLEDGE
is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: concepts of grammar and punctuation, and business telephone etiquette. ABILITY is required to multitask while having the flexibility to independently work with others in a wide variety of circumstances and operate equipment using standardized methods. Ability is required to work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with data of varied types and/or purposes; and utilize job-related equipment. In working with others, problem-solving is required to identify issues and create action plans to fix them. Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: communicating with diverse groups; maintaining confidentiality; meeting deadlines and schedules; working with frequent interruptions; being organized; setting priorities; and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
Responsibility Responsibilities include:
working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; and operating within a defined budget. Utilization of some resources from other work units is often required to perform the job's functions. There is a continual opportunity to have some impact on the Organization's services. Working Environment The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. The job is performed under a generally hazard-free environment. Reports To Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Director of Finance Supervises No supervisory responsibilities Education High School diploma or equivalent with advanced coursework in clerical skills Qualifications Ability to represent the district in an appropriate, professional manner Demonstrated competence in social skills Experience Job-related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is desired Terms 12-month work year. Purpose Statement To print all forms, envelopes, handbooks, and publications used within the district. Essential Functions
  • Maintains, organizes, and orders paper for the copy center and uses district-wide.
  • Maintains, organizes, and orders copier supplies for the copy center as well as laser toner for use district-wide.
  • Maintains, organizes, and orders mailing supplies and equipment.
  • Prioritize and complete copy work requested by the buildings, which may include binding, folding, cutting, and punching.
  • Record copy totals for each charged location.
  • Interface with district copy center vendors as needed to adequately maintain the copy equipment.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
