Job Description

Cert Pharmacy Tech II Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems United States, Virginia, South Hill May 19, 2026 •$2,000.00 Sign on Bonus for offers accepted by May 31, 2026 . Terms and Conditions apply•The Certified Pharmacy Technician aids pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care services to patients by assisting in the preparation, dispensing, record keeping, and transporting of medications for all patients including the following age groups: neonatal, pediatric, adolescence, adult, and geriatric. Under minimal supervision, this role performs the required duties of a technician at a high level of proficiency, demonstrating exemplary work behaviors and ownership for the success of the work area.

This position also learns, performs and completes assignments/responsibilities assigned during the transitional duty period.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements:
Virginia Board of Pharmacy registration is required. Pharmacy Technician certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or The Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT), is required within 6 months of employment Experience

N/A Independent action(s) required: Performs tasks designated by the pharmacist to assist in patient care that do not legally require a pharmacist's supervision or verification. Communicates effectively with all staff members. Identifies equipment or operational problems and brings them to the attention of a pharmacist or pharmacy manager. Interacts with other health care practitioners in a multidisciplinary environment. Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/A Additional position requirements: Must be available to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage.
