Certified Medical Assistant

Here at our busy family practice, we are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant. The medical assistant will work closely with our licensed providers, ensuring that our patients have the best experience they can, while visiting our practice.

Responsibilities:

Patients work up, including medical history, history of present illness, vital signs, vision and hearing screening and all related documentation. Laboratory procedures, including venipuncture, obtaining blood samples, urine samples, blood glucose testing, etc. Basic in-house medical procedures, as and when requested. Process appropriate documentation and enter into patient chart. Telephone triage and advice for minor medical problems, including clarification of patient instructions, office visits, self-care treatments for minor illness and injuries. Maintenance of exam rooms, laboratory, including cleaning, sanitizing and stock supplies, including all instruments and supplies. Rotate between practices as needed.

Education/ Qualifications:

Must have effective knowledge of medical terminology and procedures. Must have a high school diploma . Must have at least 1 year of experience within a Medical Assistant role (LPN/CMA). Must have a flexible approach to the work to be undertaken.
