Certified Medical Assistant - Pediatrics (Full-Time) Hours are Monday through Friday from 8am-4:30pm

Compensation:
Our client offers a competitive $20-22/hr. rate (Flexible/Negotiable DOE), comprehensive full health benefits.
Job Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our pediatric practice. The ideal candidate will have prior pediatric experience, strong clinical skills, and hands-on experience administering childhood vaccines and immunizations. This individual will work closely with providers, patients, and families to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians/providers during patient examinations and procedures Administer pediatric vaccines and injections in accordance with physician orders and CDC guidelines Maintain accurate immunization records and ensure vaccine documentation compliance Educate parents and guardians regarding vaccines, medications, and treatment plans Perform point-of-care testing including strep, flu, RSV, and other lab testing as needed Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and assist with patient follow-up Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and clinical areas Ensure proper handling, storage, and inventory management of vaccines and medical supplies Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality Assist with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation and chart updates
Qualifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required Minimum of 1-2 years of pediatric medical assistant experience preferred Experience administering pediatric vaccines and immunizations required Knowledge of childhood vaccination schedules and vaccine protocols Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and families Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
