Job Description

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support eye care and optometry services for patients of all ages. The ideal candidate will assist providers with patient care, imaging, optical services, documentation, and administrative support while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced clinical environment. Important Notes Flu vaccine required National MA Certification required Start date will be no less than 6 weeks after fingerprint cards are received by SEARHC for processing Candidates should research housing and transportation on Prince of Wales (POW) and be prepared to assist with accommodation planning

Normal Key ResponsibilitiesOptometry Assistant Duties Room and screen patients for providers Perform optical and point-of-care lab testing Document patient information accurately and timely Assist with optical orders including: Benefits verification Frame selection Measurements Order entry Payment collection Dispensing glasses and contacts Repairs, adjustments, and warranty replacements Support inventory management including ordering, cleaning, returns, and frame organization Assist with invoice approvals and reconciliation Imaging Responsibilities Acquire ocular imaging including: Ocular photos Optical coherence tomography (OCT) Visual fields Topography Upload and document imaging in medical records for provider review Administrative Support Assist with patient triage, scheduling, recalls, and referrals Answer phones and respond to patient questions Coordinate with Referral Care Coordinators and clinic staff Order and maintain office and medical supplies Additional Responsibilities Maintain patient confidentiality at all times Collaborate with team members to support patient care and organizational goals Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements High School Diploma or GED required National Medical Assistant Certification required BLS Certification required Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience required Strong communication, customer service, and documentation skills preferred HC01
Pay:
$53.00 - $55.00 per hour
