CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT

This position requires flexibility as it is a "float" position. Based in Fair Lawn, NJ, but MUST be available to "float" and provide efforts to various offices throughout Northern NJ as needed on any given day, supporting various specialties. Must have valid driver's license and car to effectively travel to assigned office locations. You will be supporting various office locations as needed, including but not limited to: Fair Lawn Woodland Park Wayne Clifton Paterson Pompton Plains Garfield Hawthorne Passaic Ramsey West Milford Kearny Elmwood Park Ridgewood Hackensack Westwood Englewood Teaneck Role and Responsibilities Prepare exam room for the physician, take and record vital signs and medical history, prepare patients for exam, perform EKG, answer and triage telephone calls. Update medical record with lab and procedure results. Interview patients to obtain medical information, measure vital signs. Obtain medication preauthorization Triage telephone calls Call patients with lab results, physician instructions - and record in medical record Schedule appointments for patients Chart preparation prior to patient visit Perform event monitoring Explain treatments and physician instructions to patients Administering medications or injections (under provider direction). Performing basic lab tests (e.g., EKGs, rapid strep, Covid test). Collecting and preparing lab specimens (blood, urine) Qualifications and Education Requirements Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) Must be fluent in English and Spanish Driver's license required 2+ years of continuous experience as Medical Assistant Preferred Skills Actively listening Effective communication Service orientation Socially perceptive Time management Comprehension and deductive reasoning Organizational skills

Pay:

$24.00 - $27.50 per hour
