Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Technician (CMT) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. Your expertise will support individuals with diverse needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, developmental disabilities, and those requiring hospice or memory care. As a CMT, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our patients while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and documentation standards. This position offers an engaging opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through skilled caregiving and medical support. Duties Assist with daily patient care activities including vital signs monitoring, medication administration, catheter care, and tube feeding procedures Support patients with mobility challenges, personal hygiene, and activities of daily living in assisted living or home care settings Maintain accurate medical documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner Assist with medical procedures requiring knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Monitor and record patient responses to treatments; report changes to supervising healthcare professionals Support patients experiencing dementia or memory loss through specialized memory care techniques and compassionate engagement Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times Experience Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments Prior caregiving experience with individuals who have developmental disabilities or require hospice care Familiarity with medical documentation practices and proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to patient care procedures Experience administering medications and performing clinical tasks like catheter care and vital signs assessment Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those needing specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care Join us as a Certified Medical Technician (CMT) where your skills will directly enhance the quality of life for our patients.
