This vital role combines compassionate patient care with precise medication management, ensuring safety and comfort for individuals with diverse needs. As a Certified Medication Aide, you will work closely with nursing staff to administer medications, monitor health status, and support residents' daily activities in a dynamic and rewarding environment. Your skills in medical documentation, medication administration, and patient care will help create a nurturing atmosphere that promotes dignity and independence. Responsibilities Safely administer prescribed medications to residents following all regulatory guidelines and facility policies Monitor residents' vital signs and overall health status, reporting any changes or concerns to nursing staff promptly Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, mobility support, and feeding for individuals with developmental disabilities or memory impairments Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner Support specialized care programs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and memory care initiatives Follow HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of all patient information and medical records Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans that address individual needs and preferences Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home & community care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medical documentation practices is essential Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner enhances efficiency in patient record management Familiarity with tube feeding procedures, catheter care, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration techniques is required Background working with individuals with disabilities or complex health conditions like Alzheimer's disease or dementia is advantageous Demonstrated caregiving skills in acute care settings or hospice environments will support success in this role Certification as a Medication Aide (CMA) is mandatory; additional certifications in medical office procedures or home & community care are a plus Join us to make a meaningful difference by providing compassionate, expert medication assistance and patient-centered care.
