Job Description

Overview As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings. You will assist patients with daily living activities, support nursing staff, and ensure that patients receive compassionate and respectful care. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks that promote the well-being and comfort of patients, including those in critical care, long-term care, and assisted living environments. Duties Assist patients with personal hygiene, grooming, and daily living activities Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration Provide support in feeding, mobility, and transferring patients using equipment such as Hoyer lifts Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients Document patient care activities accurately in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems Collaborate with nursing staff to implement patient care plans Support patients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care Assist in medical procedures under the supervision of nursing staff Provide companionship and emotional support to patients Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information Qualifications Previous experience in healthcare settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care is preferred Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks) is advantageous Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is a plus Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications in areas such as phlebotomy or medication administration are beneficial Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology related to patient care Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as emergency medicine or ICU settings Compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and families Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing healthcare environments Join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to making a difference in the lives of our patients.
