Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to patients across various care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and be committed to delivering high-quality service in diverse medical environments. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring specialized care. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates. Support medication administration under supervision and ensure proper documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support. Maintain infection control standards through aseptic technique and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, and specimen collection. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care settings such as ICU, emergency medicine, or Level I Trauma Centers. Support patients in post-acute and sub-acute care environments, including long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. Document patient interactions accurately within medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Use medical terminology proficiently to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals. Support patient safety initiatives by monitoring for signs of infectious disease or deterioration. Requirements Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program. Prior experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, hospice care, or outpatient clinics. Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks preferred. Experience with critical care environments such as ICU or Level II Trauma Centers is advantageous. Familiarity with medical procedures including medication administration, vital signs measurement, catheter care, and aseptic techniques. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving. Ability to work flexible hours across inpatient, outpatient, or community-based settings. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
