Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team at SGA H.Care Staffing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care across diverse medical settings. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring timely communication of changes to healthcare staff. Support clinical procedures such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, and specimen collection (including phlebotomy) following aseptic techniques. Assist with medication administration under supervision, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols and utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for accurate documentation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in settings like hospitals (including ICU and trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospice care, or outpatient clinics to deliver comprehensive patient service. Support patients with specialized needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's care, behavioral health challenges, or developmental disabilities in accordance with best practices for memory care and geriatrics. Skills Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments including long-term care facilities, hospitals (Level I & II trauma centers), pediatric units (PICU), or post-acute settings. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and infection control practices. Experience with specialized patient populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities or developmental delays, and those requiring hospice or palliative care. Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs measurement, catheter care, medication administration, and basic life support certification. Skilled in working with complex cases involving acute illnesses like infectious diseases or emergency medicine scenarios including ICU or Level I Trauma Center experience. Compassionate caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to support patients' physical comfort and emotional well-being across inpatient and outpatient settings.
