Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic, student-focused environment as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting a single school site near Saugus, MA. This full-time contract opportunity (30 hours per week) begins as soon as possible and runs through June 12, 2026, providing a meaningful experience working directly with children and educators to help students thrive.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification as a COTA and eligibility to practice in educational settings Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy support preferred Strong communication skills for collaboration with occupational therapists, teachers, and families Ability to adapt interventions to meet individual student needs Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive school community
Your Responsibilities:
Carry out occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an OTR/L, tailored to students' educational goals Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on improving functional performance within the school setting Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapeutic interventions Participate actively in IEP team meetings, providing observations and insights as needed Support the integration of therapeutic strategies into classroom activities Communicate regularly with teachers and other school staff to ensure consistent support for students Perks of this
