Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) serving school-aged children near Aberdeen, WA. You'll collaborate closely with occupational therapists and educational teams to create positive learning environments that support students' growth, well-being, and independence. Your background supporting children in school settings allows you to tailor interventions that foster student success. You'll play a key role in delivering therapy services, tracking progress, and working with teachers and families to ensure each student receives the support they need.
Qualifications:
Valid COTA licensure in Washington state (or eligibility) Experience in school settings or pediatric therapy preferred Strong skills in collaborating with occupational therapists, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to implement IEPs and treatment plans Excellent communication and adaptability when working with students with diverse needs Skilled in maintaining accurate therapy records and documentation
Responsibilities:
Carry out therapy interventions as directed by supervising occupational therapists Support students individually and in small groups to develop fine motor, sensory, and functional skills in the classroom Collect and document data regarding student progress and therapy outcomes Help adapt classrooms and activities to make them accessible to all students Communicate with staff and parents/guardians about student needs and achievements Assist in developing materials, equipment, and strategies to enhance student participation This contract role offers the chance to make a real impact within an educational community, build your professional skills, and enjoy the variety that comes with working in a school environment.
