Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team! Duties Implement individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patients' ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist Provide therapeutic interventions for patients with disabilities, including geriatrics and TBI. Collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Document patient progress and modify treatment plans based on ongoing assessments. Educate patients and their families about treatment strategies and home exercises to promote independence. Maintain knowledge of current best practices in occupational health and rehabilitation techniques. Requirements Occupational Therapy Assistant degree from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist Assistant. Valid driver's license and clear driving record Experience working in an outpatient clinic is preferred Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to effectively manage caseload requirements About Life Skills This position will be responsible for treating patients with various conditions, focusing on improving their ability to perform daily activities. This role requires a desire to work with a diverse caseload as well as experience in an outpatient setting. The COTA will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to implement effective care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
