  • Full-time, Contract Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting.
In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with licensed occupational therapists to deliver exceptional patient care, helping individuals regain independence and improve their quality of life. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), geriatrics, pediatrics, and outpatient care make a meaningful difference every day. Your expertise in physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology will support the development and implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence. Implement and follow care plans developed by occupational therapists, ensuring patient progress and safety. Support inpatient and outpatient therapy sessions across skilled nursing facilities, clinics, and home health settings. Monitor patient responses during therapy activities, documenting progress and communicating updates to supervising therapists. Help coordinate care for patients in geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care environments by applying your knowledge of physiology and anatomy. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, treatment outcomes, and adherence to medical terminology standards. Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient recovery. Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Prior experience working in skilled nursing facilities or inpatient rehabilitation settings preferred. Strong understanding of occupational health principles, medical imaging concepts, and medical terminology. Experience assisting with ADLs across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to support effective therapy interventions. Familiarity with outpatient clinics, home health environments, and acute care settings is a plus. Excellent patient care skills combined with the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately.
