Job Description
Essential Functions:
Assists patients in developing problem-solving skills to respond to challenging experiences in their recovery Models effective coping and self-help strategies and techniques to individuals or groups of patients to overcome personal fears, anxieties, urges, and triggers Assists/supports patients in daily decision making, resolution of minor problems, and crisis intervention as necessary Assists patients in identifying their personal goals and objectives for recovery and sobriety Assists clinic staff in a collaborative process of identifying programs and environments that are conducive to recovery Assists patients in creating their personal recovery plans Meets with patients to provide advice and support in accordance with treatment plans Assists/coordinates patient support groups on a regular basis Assists patients in obtaining and utilizing clinic-based and community-based services that support individual recovery needs Assists patients by identifying community resources and encouraging participation, to engage in healthy social activities, employment opportunities or provide other assistance as needed Observes behaviors and evidence of general well-being and discusses observations with the patient Assists patients in developing empowerment skills through self-advocacy Ensures timely and appropriate documentation as required by company, state, and federal policyBenefits:

Education/Licensure/Certification:
Have a High School diploma or equivalent with the state-required Peer Recovery certification.
