Responsibilities:
Collaborates daily with nursing staff, physicians, and hospital personnel across UPMC Pinnacle Supports pharmacy operations across facilities as needed and mutually agreed Maintains a clean, safe, and organized pharmacy environment Accurately prepares, labels, and delivers medications under pharmacist supervision Fills and maintains automated dispensing cabinets; manages interdepartmental medication orders Prepares non-sterile, sterile, IV, and specialty products (once trained) using proper techniques Inspects medication storage areas; removes expired or recalled medications and documents actions Completes required documentation, logs, charge forms, and controlled substance records Uses pharmacy technology and equipment effectively (automation, computers, pneumatic tube, etc.) Supports training, performance improvement initiatives, and upholds UPMC's mission and values
